Synopsis:
Emma is a
young girl who lives with her mum, dad and her younger 6-year-old sister
Saffie. These two wondrous sisters may look ordinary, but they are not. They
have super powers! But it wasn’t as if they could make themselves invisible,
or even fly, but what they could do was make non-living objects come to life!
It wasn’t only
Emma and Saffie who had powers. It was a strange gift that ran through their
family; but skipped a generation each time, so neither of Emma’s parents had
this magical power, but their grandma did. Emma and Saffie could do all sorts
of clever things that their friends in school couldn’t, such as: making dolls
talk, asking the hoover to clean up, make pens and pencils dance on the
tables and having lots of fun with garden gnomes!
However, the
sisters’ parents are very cautious about their supernatural daughters, as
they are so worried that their family secret will be revealed. Grandma
assures them that no harm would come to them, but since the family’s new
neighbours moved in, they were in a real fix. The new neighbours had a
passion for studying Human Genetics, which was the study for inheritance.
They all knew that something must be done about Saffie so she could learn how
to control her powers, and not go wild with them.
Unfortunately,
the secret has nearly slipped and the new neighbours are just one step closer
to finding out that Emma and Saffie are not normal. Do they find out in the
end? Read this amazing tale by Gwyneth Rees to find out!

Why I like
this book:
This book is
very fascinating to read, and it is perfect for people who love a bit of
magic, mystery and teamwork. This story is about a family who work together
to make sure Saffie and Emma’s powers stay hidden… but will they complete the
task?
