Synopsis:
Lucy Dungston was an unusual child
ever since her dad, a rubbish collector, had disappeared many years ago
without a trace. One early morning, she was getting ready for school just
like any other child would do…
Suddenly, a raucous creaking sound
echoed in Lucy’s ears when she had realised her mum had disappeared, just
like all other grown-ups in the town of Wiffington! All the children caused havoc
and chaos while the adults had mysteriously vanished, but Lucy was determined
to find out where they had gone.
Lucy and her friend, Norman,
hatched out a clever plan that would bring all the adults back. They found
out that four ugly creatures with gnarled, wrinkled faces and beady black eyeballs
were lurking under every child’s bed, and they would snatch rubbish that
humans had carelessly thrown away along with the mums, dads, aunties, uncles,
teachers and any other grown-up in the town while children were fast asleep.
Who were these strange creatures?
Why did they take rubbish and leave children on their own? Where was Lucy’s
dad for all those years? Did Lucy manage to succeed in her plans?  Read ‘The Creakers’ by Tom Fletcher to find
  out!

Why I like this book:
This book is fun for both Girls
and Boys, and captures the reader which makes you want to read more and more
by every passing chapter. I love the way that Tom Fletcher uses cliff hangers
throughout the story, which makes the book even more fascinating to read. My favourite
Character was Lucy Dungston, because I love the way she stays positive and
never gives up even though she has to face many tough challenges throughout
  the story.
I would really recommend this
action-packed adventure for people who love a great adventure!
